Julia WoodfordLAC

I believe that healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you can bring your whole self—without fear of judgment, shame, or having to explain your identity.

I Support Individuals Navigating...

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced marginalization, discrimination, trauma, or identity-based stress. I am passionate about supporting social and racial minorities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people navigating sexuality and relationship concerns, and those struggling with self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or emotional pain that feels overwhelming.

Many of my clients come to therapy carrying experiences that others may not fully understand. They may be questioning their identity, recovering from trauma, navigating family conflict, coping with anxiety or depression, exploring their sexuality, or simply trying to find hope after years of feeling unseen.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is collaborative, affirming, and trauma-informed. Together, we work to understand the roots of your struggles, build self-compassion, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I recognize that our mental health is shaped by our relationships, culture, community, lived experiences, and the systems we move through each day. My goal is to honor your unique story while helping you develop practical tools for healing, resilience, and growth.

A Safe Space to Be Yourself

I am especially committed to providing affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and people from diverse racial, cultural, and social backgrounds.

Therapy with me is a place where your identity is respected, your experiences are validated, and your goals guide our work together.

Whether you are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, thoughts of suicide, relationship challenges, identity concerns, or questions about sexuality, you do not have to navigate it alone. Healing is possible, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
