EMDR Intensives
FOR FOLKS IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA & THROUGHOUT THE STATE
Healing from trauma doesn't always fit neatly into a 50-minute therapy session.
Accelerated Trauma Healing Without the Limitations of Weekly Therapy
EMDR Intensives offer an opportunity to engage in focused, extended therapy sessions designed to help you move through stuck points, process traumatic experiences, and create meaningful change in a shorter period of time than traditional weekly therapy.
As an EMDR-trained trauma therapist, I offer personalized EMDR Intensives for individuals who are ready to dedicate concentrated time and energy to their healing journey.
What Is an EMDR Intensive?
An EMDR Intensive is an extended therapy experience that combines comprehensive preparation, trauma processing, nervous system regulation, and integration support into longer therapy sessions.
Rather than meeting once per week, we work together for several hours at a time, allowing us to stay deeply engaged in the healing process without repeatedly stopping and restarting. Each intensive is tailored to your unique history, goals, and nervous system needs.
Benefits of EMDR Intensives
Many clients choose EMDR Intensives because they:
Experience Faster Progress
Extended sessions allow us to move beyond surface-level discussions and spend more time in active healing.
Reduce the Start-and-Stop Cycle
Weekly therapy often requires time spent reorienting and reviewing. Intensives allow us to maintain momentum and stay connected to the work.
Fit Busy Schedules
Professionals, parents, caregivers, and individuals traveling from outside the area often find intensives more practical than ongoing weekly sessions.
Create Space for Deep Healing
Longer sessions provide the opportunity to process multiple layers of trauma while incorporating grounding, resourcing, and nervous system regulation throughout the day.
Who Are EMDR Intensives For?
EMDR Intensives may be a good fit if you:
Feel stuck despite years of therapy
Want to focus on a specific traumatic event or life experience
Have limited availability for weekly sessions
Are experiencing significant life transitions
Want to address childhood trauma or attachment wounds
Desire accelerated progress toward your therapy goals
Are traveling from another city or state for specialized trauma treatment
My Approach
Trauma healing is not about forcing yourself to revisit painful experiences. It is about helping your nervous system feel safe enough to process what has been carried for far too long.
My approach combines EMDR with a compassionate, client-centered perspective and an understanding of how trauma impacts both the mind and body.
I integrate principles from:
EMDR Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Attachment-Based Therapy
Nervous System Regulation
Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Practices
Every intensive is customized to your needs, pace, and capacity. We move toward healing without overwhelming your system.
